A day at Jnanasagara Public School

Once upon a time...
Opened in 2017, Jnanasagara Public School is the brainchild of Dr. Rajnandini Kagodu, director of Sanjay Vidya Kendra ® Education Society in Sagar, Shivamogga District. It was her understanding of her hometown Sagar that the educational system currently available lacked the level of proficiency needed for children to participate on national or international platforms on an equal footing.
Our Approach
At Jnanasagara Public School we provide a positive and nurturing environment, provide holistic, high quality education using innovative teaching methods, personalized student programs, emphasise on concept-based lesson plans, and various activity worksheets to make learning simple and fun.

Each child is unique and hence a general assessment does not suit all. No child can be compared or measured by marks or discriminations. It is very important to tap into the creative, cognitive, psychomotor, personal, social, and emotional growth of each child to ensure an environment of overall development occurs in the early years of education. Our assessment system, therefore, purely relies on the overall development of a child including academic progress in a balanced format.
What distinguishes us?
Our curriculum is planned strategically keeping in mind the Malenadu-Sagar culture and prevailing socioeconomic conditions. Thus, we have incorporated a unique combination of Montessori, Waldorf, and Multiple Intelligence pedagogies keeping in mind that each child learns at his own pace and preferred style of learning.
